Fairbanks Independent Shore Excursions
Fairbanks is known as the “Land of the Midnight Sun” and during much of the cruise ship season chances are you’ll never see it actually get dark in Fairbanks. There’s even an annual Midnight Sun Festival around the time of the summer solstice (June 21st).
Fairbanks offers cruise ship passengers many different independent shore excursion and independent shore tour options.
Fairbanks is often the beginning or end of many land/sea cruise itineraries. Typically the cruise ship visitor will stay in Fairbanks for a day or two before either flying home or taking the Alaskan railroad to Anchorage begin their cruise.
